Welcome to the Dieco.com system

The idea of creating an Internet global information resource website began on a very hot summer evening in August 1993 in the town of Tilburg in Holland. Erik Larson and his father, Robert Larson, were on a trip through Europe where Robert was introducing Erik to the diemaking and diecutting industry. Erik had recently joined the company. Father and son were discussing how Erik could apply his talents to the company. Erik suggested developing a website for the people in diecutting process. The idea of a website devoted to the diecutting process had real merit. It was agreed to develop the idea and soon after www.dieco.com became a reality.

Since 1994, the website has gone through several generations of improvement and change to keep pace with the every changing needs in our industry. This newest millennium version of Dieco.com reflects our most recent efforts to improve and update our Dieco.com system one more time to serve the needs of people and companies in the diecutting process.

The system provides exciting opportunities for individuals and companies worldwide to discover information and resources on flatbed, multi-contour and rotary diecutting and diemaking, plus embossing and hot foil stamping of all soft to semi-rigid materials. The site provides many interactive possibilities to communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to questions or situations within our industry.

The Dieco.com system has been developed by and is maintained by Larson WorldWide, Inc., International Consultants to the Diecutting Process. The diecutting process has often been referred to as "an invisible process" because is it conducted within many converting operations. Consumers often do not realize that most items that they use on a daily basis have had one or more component parts die cut or trimmed in one of many types of die cutting systems using a wide range of die cutting tooling.

Here are but a few of a never ending list of items that are diecut: leather products such as footwear, wallets and handbags, folding cartons and corrugated boxes, packaging of all types, point of purchase displays, gaskets, computer floppy disks, contoured plywood seats for furniture, medical devices, clothing, wooden cocktail forks, flexible printed circuit boards, multi-contour floor mats for automobiles, the trimming of dashboards of automobiles, even diecutting and molding of processed fish sticks and die cut sections of tobacco leaves for cigars.

The diecutting process has many diverse segments serving many different areas of the converting process.
